How to measure
As standard our pleated blinds use metal brackets as mounting device. They can either be installed directly onto the window frame or on the wall, covering the whole window recess. Other mounting options are available and can be viewed here. If you wish to order one of the alternative mounting options, kindly contact us for detailed information on measurements and installation options.

Regular rectangular windows
Triangular windows
Trapezoid windows
Pentagonal windows
Hexagonal windows
Rounded windows
Roof windows
Many of our pleated blinds are also available for roof windows. Please heed the advice below when measuring your roof window.
Installation on the window frame
Height = Height of glass incl. rubber seal + desired supernatant
Width = Width of glass incl. rubber seal + desired supernatant
To determine the measurements of the pleated blind, please measure the width and length of the glass surface of the window and add the desired excess length. To simplify the installation of the finished blind mark the measuring points on all four corners of the window frames. Beware to keep a minimum distance of 3/8’’ to the window handles and other protruding components.
Our metal mounting brackets can be installed with the screw-on leg oriented up or down. The leg is 13/16’’ in length. Please make sure to allow enough space for your chosen way of installation.
Installation on the wall
Height = niche height + desired supernatant
Width = niche width + desired supernatant
To determine the measurements of the pleated blind, please measure the width and length of the glass surface of the window and add the desired excess length. To simplify the installation of the finished blind mark the measuring points on all four corners of the window frames. Beware to keep a minimum distance of 3/8’’ to the window handles and other protruding components.

This installation method covers the whole window recess. To determine the measurements of the pleated blind, please measure the length and width of the window recess and add the desired excess length. We recommend adding an excess length of 2’’ to either side and to the top. To simplify the installation of the finished blind mark the measuring points on all four corners.
Our metal mounting brackets can be installed with the screw-on leg oriented up or down. The leg is 1 3/16’’ in length. Please make sure to allow enough space for your chosen way of installation, especially in the close proximity of the window sill.

- metall brackets for the wall
- mounting clips (Roof Windows)
Just like trapezoid windows, triangular windows are often to be found on the gables of houses with a peaked roof. Acting as an additional light source it seems natural for inhabitants to wish for flexible light control. Pleated blinds provide just that.
Height = Height of glass incl. rubber seal + desired supernatant
Width = Width of glass incl. rubber seal + desired supernatant
To determine the measurements of the pleated blind please measure the clear dimensions of the glass surface and add the desired excess length. The minimum excess length is 13/16’’all round. Beware to keep a minimum distance of 3/8’’ to the window handles and other protruding components.
Our metal mounting brackets can be installed with the screw-on leg oriented towards or away from the glass surface. The leg is 1 3/16’’ in length. Please make sure to allow enough space for your chosen way of installation.
Mark the measuring points on the window frame to simplify the installation of the pleated blind later on.
Please note: Depending on the layout you choose, the finished pleated blind might leave a small open gap in the tip of the triangle.

A typical form for windows on the gables of houses with a peaked roof is the trapezoid window. There are two forms in general: Trapezoid windows with the parallel sides oriented vertically and trapezoid windows with the parallel sides oriented horizontally.

Hexagonal windows are either to be found on the gables of houses with peaked roofs or as a means of decorating a façade. Pleated blinds provide flexible sun protection and light control for such windows without covering their beautiful shape.

How to measure Roof Windows
Installation in the frame
» note: When fitting between the rafters please measure the width at several points and deduct the narrowest dimension from 5mm. In the length please consider the vents up and down. In your order please specify always finished dimensions (for system size).
