Available Pleated Blinds Layouts

However diverse the layouts and options for our custom pleated blinds may seem, there are a few things they all have in common. For any of our layouts you can choose between four different rail colors; white, black, silver and brass. All plastic parts (rail caps, tension clips etc.) match the rails in color, the only exception is the Sensuna design handle, which is transparent in color. If you chose brass rails, the plastic accessories will be black.

Tension cords and pull cords will be in a color that matches your chosen fabric.

All our layouts adhere to norms regulating child safety for operating cords of window treatments (EN 1321). Our braced pleated blinds do not have any operating cords. The cords of free hanging blinds are equipped with the Sensuna kids care cord breaker that releases the cord loop if under pressure or pulled apart.

Rectangular Windows

Top Fixed [P1600] Layout

The pleated blind layout P 1600 is a proven and timeless model. It is suitable for rectangular windows of all kinds depending on the chosen mounting option. Its upper rail remains stationary while the lower rail can be smoothly moved via the operating handle. This pleated blind is braced. Should you mount it to the frame or glazing bead of a tilt-turn window or a hopper window it will follow any movement without swaying. As standard, one operating handle is included with the sensuna pleated blind P1600. The pleated blind is installed using metal mounting brackets. Options to install this pleated blind directly within the glazing bead, inside the window recess or on the ceiling are available on request. For certain types of windows, clip-on and glue-on mounting options are possible on request as well. Especially child-safe – no pull cords

A version of this layout is available as a roof window pleated blind for sun rooms, conservatories etc. as well.

Installation with Face Brackets (on the wall, architrave or window frame sash)
Installation with Horizontal Mounts and Fixing Clips (in the window reveal or in the window glazing bead)

Top Down/ Bottom Up [P1615] Layout

Our best-selling product for a reason: The top-down/bottom up pleated blind P1615 layout promises unique flexibility. It is suitable for rectangular windows of all kinds, depending on the chosen mounting option. Both rails can be smoothly moved via the operating handles. As standard, one operating handle per rail is included with the sensuna pleated blind P1615. The pleated blind is installed using metal mounting brackets. Options to install this pleated blind directly within the glazing bead, inside the window recess or on the ceiling are available on request. For certain types of windows, clip-on and glue-on mounting options are possible on request as well. Especially child-safe – no pull cords

Please note: Due to the forces at work because of the braced layout, the rails of the pleated blind P1615 have a tendency to slightly bend in the middle if its width exceeds 43’’. To minimize this effect we recommend opting for the sensuna rail+ should your layout be 43’’ or wider. A warning in our configuration guide will remind you of this though.

As with all our pleated blinds you can choose from an extensive range of fabrics as well as four different colors for rails: White, silver, black and brass.
